1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using japansource.com, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to register or purchase.
• Alcoholic products, including sake, may carry additional age and licensing requirements; you must meet all applicable requirements for your location.
• The Site is offered to customers in the United States and Japan. We make no representation that it is appropriate or available elsewhere.
• Registration requires a valid invite code. Browsing is open to everyone; purchasing requires a registered member account.

3. Member Accounts

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
• Maintain only one account per person.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Your personal invite code is for introducing people in your own network. You may not sell, auction, or distribute invite codes commercially or in bulk. We may revoke codes or accounts that abuse the invitation system.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site in violation of any applicable law in the United States, Japan, or your jurisdiction.
• Access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to access.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site or its infrastructure.
• Use bots, scrapers, or crawlers to harvest content without our written permission.
• Engage in fraud, including using an invite code obtained by deception or misrepresenting your identity.
• Resell or export products in violation of applicable trade laws.

5. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

Checkout, payment processing, and order fulfillment are handled by a separate third-party provider. By placing an order, you are also subject to that provider's terms, presented at checkout. Where those terms conflict with these Terms regarding payment, shipping, returns, or fulfillment, the provider's terms govern those aspects.

• Prices and currency are shown at the point of sale and may change without notice.
• Products are offered subject to availability; we may limit quantities or discontinue items.
• If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to an error, we may cancel affected orders and notify you.
• You are responsible for applicable taxes, customs duties, and import fees for your destination. For international shipments you may be the importer of record.
• Your order is an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline.

6. Shipping and Fulfillment

Orders ship from Japan through the separate fulfillment provider. Delivery estimates are approximate and not guaranteed. Risk of loss and title pass according to the applicable shipping terms. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, carriers, or events beyond our control.

7. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are handled according to our return policy and, where applicable, the checkout provider's terms. Defective or damaged items are eligible for replacement or refund. Perishable goods (food, drink, matcha) are generally not returnable unless received damaged or defective. Mandatory consumer-protection rights under applicable US and Japanese law are not affected by this section.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — text, images, product descriptions, artisan imagery, logos, and trademarks — is owned by or licensed to [Legal entity name — confirm] and is protected by US and Japanese intellectual property law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Japan Source and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or any product. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid in connection with the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law — including, for consumers in Japan, protections under the Consumer Contract Act, and for consumers in the United States, non-waivable statutory rights.

11. Indemnification

• These Terms are provided in English and Japanese. For customers in Japan, the Japanese version applies; otherwise the English version governs if there is a conflict.
